Oracle SQL Performance Tuning
Learn the essential skills every DBA should have!
* Class Dates: April 11 - 13, 2023 *
Why should I attend this class?
Discover the art of SQL tuning
SQL Tuning is more of an art than a science, requiring good background in how the Optimizer works and what tools are there to help. We will give you the details you need to grow your SQL tuning skills.
Brush up on your tuning expertise
If you are not new to SQL Tuning, you will want to have a great refresher class to make sure your tuning skills are up to date.
Get great communication skills
You are new to SQL Tuning so you need all the basic information and terminology to document and communicate what is going on. This is critical to working and engaging with developers and management.
Even experienced database professionals find tuning to be confusing. We will make sure you grow your toolbox with the right tools and learn how to use them by providing real examples and hands-on code.
You will be able to:
Class Hours: There are 9 hours of live, interactive class training divided into three 3-hour sessions.
Class Structure: OraPub believes you learn more when you freely and actively engage during the training. This is why each session is full of live demonstrations and lots of Q&A time. If you miss a session, you are free to attend that session when the class is offered again.
Watching Recorded Sessions: Each session is recorded and used to create a unique web page just for your class. The recordings can be streamed using any device, but not downloaded. You can re-watch the videos as many times as you wish. The videos and your unique class web page will be available for three years!
You will need:
The ability to connect to the online training over the internet, hosted by Zoom. You do not need a microphone. Gary Gordhamer, the instructor, is the only one that speaks, but all students are able to type their questions, answers, and comments... it's very lively! Oracle software is not required during the live training.
The ability to connect to the Viscosity lab using a web browser.
