Session 1

• Manual RAG — Using ChatGPT to manually do RAG, step by step. (1 hr)

• AI Coding — How to collaborate with an AI to build AI-based systems. (1 hr)

• Build a simple "Guess a number between 1 and 10" game.

Session 2

• Vector Stores — Why AI cannot exist without vectors and how we leverage them. (1 hr)

• RAG Ingestion — Getting your data into the DB and vector store. (1 hr)

• RAG Query — Getting the best and least amount of data out of the DB and vector store. (1 hr)

Details: 

Class Hours: There are 6 hours of live, interactive hands-on class training divided into three 2-hour sessions, plus one hour of lab time with Craig after each session.

Skill Level: This class is for developers, DBAs of any database, and infrastructure professionals. This is NOT an Oracle-centric class. This is an AI-centric class. You will need a basic understanding of any programming language, such as PL/SQL.

Class Structure: OraPub believes you learn more when you freely and actively engage during the training. This is why each session is full of live demonstrations, lots of Q&A time and lots of hands-on action! If you miss a session, you are free to attend that session when the class is offered again. 

Watching Recorded Sessions: Each session is recorded and used to create a unique web page just for your class. The recordings can be streamed using any device, but not downloaded. You can re-watch the videos as many times as you wish. The videos and your unique class web page will be available for three years!

You will need:

• IMPORTANT: Miniconda needs to be installed on your computer and will provide our Python environments. It's free. Google "miniconda install," and then follow the instructions. You do NOT need to know Python.

• IMPORTANT: Please have Cursor AI downloaded and installed with a working license. Go to https://cursor.com for details. The least expensive paid license is fine.

• A modern Windows, Mac or Linux computer with at least 10 GB of memory and 5 GB of disk space.

• An up-to-date modern browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Apple's Safari.

• The ability to connect to the online training over the internet, hosted by Zoom. You do not need a microphone.
